modpack
Wanted Minecraft again. Not vanilla. Not grind hell either.
Then I remembered a Klei_Wright video from a while back. Minecraft kind of punishes casual players now. Farms, long sessions, burnout. His fix was a datapack inspired by a modpack: Matcha Flavoured, based on Raspberry Flavoured. I wanted something chill, so I tried the pack.
It’s incredible.
Biomes look gorgeous. Atmosphere too. The pacing is what got me though. With friends I usually blast through everything. Full diamond set in under an hour. Kills the vibe. This time I went slow on purpose. Hour and a half in, house, farm, still on copper tools. And I’m fine with that.
Difficulty’s still there. Mobs spawn normally. Spiders throw webs and pin you. Creepers don’t break blocks, but when they blow up they drop a bunch of mini creepers that chase you down and explode. Lol.
On the G15 from what I code on, pack’s suggested settings, I’m sitting around 260+ fps. Not heavy. World load could be better. Takes a bit to enter. Not a dealbreaker. Only rough edge so far.
Might follow up later on how the world goes. Builds too, if they turn out decent. (I don’t think they will. But who knows.)
