I’ve been stuck on a few songs lately. Apple Music is probably staring at my replay count like, dude. Enough.
First one: Origami by The Rare Occasions. The rhythm is so good I can’t even explain it properly. Just peace. The feeling when it hits is ridiculous. I don’t listen to them much. Only knew Notion before this. Think I’m gonna dig deeper. They sound really good.
Completely different lane.
The Wicked End. Avenged Sevenfold. I love this song. Not my favorite of theirs, but close to the top of the pile for sure. When it gets to “Don’t kill the messenger ‘cause as if we haven’t swam enough in this life of misery” and M. Shadows screams misery… perfect. Then this gorgeous instrumental, and then the best part of the whole track: the chorus. Vocal is insane. The backing fits him so clean it’s unfair. One of their best. Darker meaning too. Humanity eating itself. What a song.
